More Trail needs more funds

Help us raise 100,000!

Lace up your boots and set your fund raising goals high! We have some great prizes lined-up to encourage teams or individuals to get as many pledges as possible. The Association is required to raise 10% of the total funds it needs independently in order to be considered for government funding. All the money raised will go to trail restoration, maintenance and development. Generous East Coast Trail supporters have donated a variety of awesome prizes to entice each one of us to help raise funds. The earlier you start asking for donations the easier it will be to get to the top spots on event day and win some great prizes!

Top Team Prizes!

Teams are a great way to raise money. You can get internal competition going or you can work together to negotiate matching funds from an employer. Do whatever it takes to get the team spirit going. To give your team a target, the 2010 Top Team winners (High Maintenance Maniacs) raised a very respectable $3548. It is amazing what you can to do when you bring a few people together who love the trail. For example, in 2008 the same Top Team brought in just over $10000! Anything's possible.

• A kayak adventure for 10 from Stan Cook and a dining experience at Chafe's Landing in Petty Harbour

  The top team will be able to view the Trail with a new perspective - from a kayak! And then relax and refuel with fresh fish 'n chips* from Chafe's Landing in picturesque Petty Harbour. This fabulous combo prize must be collected as a team. *substitute for fish 'n chips available if needed.

• ECT Guidebook or Map Set and a pair of Smart Wool Hiking Socks

  The runner-up team will be rewarded with things that will come in handy on the Trail.

Everyone who hikes the ECT Tely Hike is considered an individual fund raiser. Whether you are registered as a member of a team or as an individual you can set you sights on the list of individual prizes that include:
