Torbay: a great host

From the Town's new sign, we know that Torbay is excited about the sections of East Coast Trail that run through its jurisdiction.

So, we are not surprised that the Town of Torbay is really putting on a party for the 11th East Coast Trail Tely Hike. The town has the buses ready, food ordered and musicians warming up. The 2011 East Coast Trail Association's Hiking fund raiser is going to be a fabulous celebration of International Trails day and fine recognition of the trail upgrades to Father Troy's Path and Silver Mine Head Path.

• The Kinsmen Centre, 8 Kinsmen Place, Torbay, just off Bauline Line near where Bauline Line meets Torbay Road.
• Minimum $40 donation per person. Please note that children under 16 years of age are not obliged to contribute the donation. The $40 registration fee is considered a donation. All donations over $10 are eligible for a tax receipt.
• Registration begins at 8:00am

ECTA Tely Hike & International Trails Day

The East Coast Trail Tely Hike changed seasons in 2010! The move to June allows our one big fundraising event to kick off our beautiful hiking season and to coincide with International Trails Day. We hope spring hiking fever brings out our old faithful crowd and helps attract new comers for the event.

We'll see you in Torbay this coming Saturday (June 4th).
