Description:	HOW: With the backpack and boots that have carried her thousands of kilometers across Europe, Kenney makes Festival history being the first women to undertake a 4-day walk, her NEWFOUNDLAND CAMINO, inviting fellow hikers in Newfoundland to join her and arriving in St. John’s just in time for her documentary screening premiere. WHY: To celebrate the Atlantic premiere of her first documentary feature LAS PEREGRINAS that explores why women are choosing to leave the comfort of their home, careers, and friends to walk a medieval pilgrimage route in Spain, the Camino de Santiago de Compostela. Few, if any, ever return from the Camino professing to be the same person they were when they left. WHO: An internationally acclaimed pilgrim, author, producer, director and performer, Sue has launched an artistic career drawing from her multiple visits to the medieval pilgrimage routes in Spain. Her life story is in feature film development by Montreal’s Oscar-nominated CIRRUS PRODUCTIONS (C.R.A.Z.Y.); her books "My Camino" and "Confessions of a Pilgrim" are now available at Chapters.
